Ahoy there! I’m Jamie — your not-so-seasoned but highly-determined captain, sailing straight into boat life with a dream, a busted 1987 Chris Craft cruiser, and absolutely no idea what I’m doing. 🧭

I didn’t plan on becoming a boat owner. In fact, this 33-foot floating challenge landed in my lap for free (yes, FREE — which is boating code for “bring your wallet and your patience”).

Why I Started This Site ⚓

After some tough medical news, I realized it was time to stop waiting and start doing. This boat became my project, my therapy, and maybe even my floating future. I’m documenting the entire journey — every repair, every lesson, and every time I accidentally glue my fingers together.

My goal is simple:

  • Help fellow rookie boaters get started
  • Share laughs and lessons from my DIY disasters
  • Sell some funny, nautical-themed gear to keep this journey afloat

What You’ll Find Here 🛠️

  • 💡 Beginner-friendly boating guides
  • 🛍️ Hilarious shirts and gear for boaters, captains, and floating comedians
  • 🧰 Step-by-step repair tips (with real mistakes included)
  • 🎥 Behind-the-scenes content from my YouTube channel: The Rookie Captain

Join the Crew 🌊

Whether you’re just dreaming of life on the water or you’re halfway through rebuilding your third engine (send help), you’re welcome here.

Thanks for coming aboard — I hope you stay for the laughs, learn something useful, and maybe even grab a shirt that says “Kiss My Deck.”

Your support helps fund this wild adventure and keep this boat from sinking — metaphorically (and sometimes literally).

Let’s set sail,
Jamie – The Rookie Captain
